Attendees will receive an overview of applicable workplace laws in BC including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Workers’ Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Personal Information Protection Act. Key strategies for reducing workplace risk will also be reviewed, including the importance of written employment agreements and key terms, hiring practices, performance management, human rights accommodations, workplace safety, and terminations.
