Business for Social Good Summit 2026: Navigating a Polarized World
Between wildly divergent worldviews and online echo chambers driving people further apart, the world has never felt so polarized. Every product and campaign is scrutinized for hidden meanings that might provide evidence of “woke” or “anti-woke” agendas (e.g., “childless cat lady” Taylor Swift and Sydney Sweeney’s “good jeans”).How should businesses operate in a world where polarization divides us? Should they lead with their values and risk alienating half of the market? Should they focus on profit and remain silent on the issues of the day? The 2026 Business for Social Good Summit, hosted by UBC Sauder’s Peter P. Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics, will tackle these and other urgent questions. Using our crowd-favourite format that engages industry, academic, and government thought leaders, attendees will hear from expert speakers with differing perspectives and engage in stimulating discussions at their tables.
